Re-reading the archive of Söder
This project revisit the archive and offer a contemporary reading through a social justice and narrative change. Artistic re-reading of the Archive builds on contemporary art’s “archival turn,” inviting artists to explore and activate historical materials connected to Söder.
Treating the archive as a site of memory, power, and absence, the project transforms overlooked or lost stories into new artistic interventions. It unfolds in three phases—research with the City Archives, production of new works, and a public exhibition accompanied by talks, workshops, and neighborhood walks—connecting local heritage with contemporary practice and everyday life in Söder.
